In the land of the famous AOC Bresse chicken, at the foot of the Beaujolais Mountains, 5 minutes from Mâcon and near the village home to Michelin-starred chef Georges Blanc, La Commanderie Golf Club offers an 18-hole course and a driving range with 10 tees in a wooded park, open to both beginners and experienced players. The friendliness of the club is one of the main attractions of La Commanderie Golf Resort, where fans of golf and good vintages can indulge in their passion. La Commanderie has a restaurant-wine bar with a wine menu of over 400 references that won an award in 2018. Wine or greens – no need to choose as the two go beautifully together!
The courses
Set on a 46-hectare estate at the heart of a wooded park over 200 years old, La Commanderie Golf Club has an 18-hole course. It was established in 1964 on the Château de l’Aumusses-Commandery estate, in tribute to the Templars who lived there in the 11th and 12th century. Six holes were added to the course on a new route in 2009.
