domaine de GonvilleOverlooked by the highest peaks of the Jura Mountains, just 20 km from Geneva and near the village of Saint-Jean-de-Gonville, Domaine de Gonville Golf Club features a seemingly straightforward 18-hole course. It enjoys an unspoilt setting. Over 25 hectares of grounds dotted with trees and water hazards that only add to its attraction, the greens have a wealth of surprises in store. Despite its relatively flat, natural route, Domaine de Gonville is nonetheless a technical course that’s enjoyed both by novice players and experienced golfers. The friendly and welcoming club also has a restaurant and a large terrace – a great place to meet up after 3 and a half hours’ play to savour the view of Mont Salève and Mont Blanc.

The 18-hole course

The 18-hole course at Domaine de Gonville Golf Club is sometimes thought to be easy since it is relatively flat. There are, however, a few traps and surprises in store, even if the greens are small. Hole no. 10 is the trickiest par 5, demanding attention and precision due to the ever-present surfaces of water.
